a penny for your thoughts

Finally, here they are.
I told you all that I would share my Final Illustrations
from last quarter once I got them back..

My color scheme was deep reds, denim blue,
black, and tribal prints.
I wanted to create an easy-going collection for Fall 2013.

This one is my favorite, I didn't mean for her
to look Barbie like, But I Love It.

I love the poncho with the print I created on this one.
Her feet are a little too small for proportion.. something to work on.

On this dress I think my rendering turned out pretty well.
Just don't asked me what happened to her head.. no sure how it grew on top.

This was my first Illustration of the group.
I follow Rumi (at Fashion Toast) daily and love her style.
Her tribal shorts are what really inspired my thought process.

I definitely have a long way to go in developing my doodles,
but I did surprise myself a little
in what I was capable of doing so far ( in 11 weeks ).

Thank you for reading
and letting me share with you.

Side-note: Last evening I was able to attend
( with two of my friends from my school )
an event at Otis College of Art and Design in LA
to hear Joe Zee (Creative Director of Elle Magazine)
 and Shipley & Halmos speak.

It was a great experience hearing all of them share
their success stories and advice for us young "up&comers".

I didn't realize Joe Zee has a new show on Sundance (All on the line / Tues. @ 10pm),
so of course the first thing I did was DVR it when I got home.
And I have been wanting to add The Ellements of Personal Style
to my book collection for awhile now.. Once I find my $$ tree..

The whole evening was also a reminder that
I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to,
I just have to want it, and there is nothing I want more than
following my dreams
