We finally made it!

We managed to get on the road by 6:00am with Starbucks & donuts in hand.

Stopped Once in SLO for gas/ potty break, and arrived at 1:00!

Not Bad for taking 101 the whole way.

So I joined the club and downloaded Instagram,

I'm a little obsessed with it now, clearly..

My phone died in Gilroy so the cherry stand was the last picture.

I have some that I took today around town & on our little adventure

Let the Packing Begin!

I can't express how excited I am to be heading home for 12 days.

It has been 6 months since I have seen beautiful Northern California

and visited with my amazing family/friends.

Here is some inspiration I will be drawing from

for my outfits while I'm there (plus getting my hair done):

- late night Starbucks on Burlingame Ave

Non-alc. = Iced Caramel Macchiatos

I believe the 2nd Lauren Conrad book, bought the 3rd but haven't started

whirlwind

Boy-OH-boy it has been 

a whirlwind of a week

Crazy. Exciting. Stressful. & Humbling. best describes it.

I managed to make homemade Fudge (for the first time ever)

for a bake sale we held at school.

It turned out delicious, and was pretty easy to make.

Here is the recipe I used. 

I completed my Illustration homework that I turned in on Wednesday.

We had to choose 3 things that inspired us and design 3 looks for each.

(also try drawing men and kids)

My three inspirations were the Starbuck's logo, Lavender, 

& the markings on a deer.

We also had to design three shoes and enter them into 

the Vince Camuto Shoe Design contest

((which I posted all about, and needing everyone's help))

WELL, two of my designs made the Top 25!!
So THANK YOU everyone for your support and "likes" ♥
Now we just have to wait and see who's design they will pick.... fingers crossed!

I was so humbled to see the response that I got from Friends & Family
on Facebook, AND even from you guys!

A lot of the time (especially living so far away from home)
I feel kind of alone - just a little -
and struggled not having my core group of friends.
So to witness everyone willing to help me out in my time of need,
 I knew that even though I don't see them often they are still there for me.
You're never alone ♥

Where does the weekend go??

Sorry I haven't posted since Wednesday, I tried to on Thursday but we all know

about that Blogger debacle - so weird that it took a whole day..

Anyways, as always it has been a busy & quick weekend

so I'll just share a quick outfit photo and then I'm off!

Back to homework & catching up on my TV shows.

Let me explain the face lol I'm a goofball and I think I was singing

Katy Perry & doing a little of the robot.. And of course the boyfriend caught it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that does that, right? : ]

Also the weather got wacky on us again this weekend,

hence the tights and thermal.

the mondays..

I have a case of the mondays...

You know the kind of mondays where you just want

to crawl back into bed and pull the covers over your head..

I don't think it helps that I am getting a head cold as well.
*On the bright side, I did enjoy a nice Mother's Day
with my boyfriend's family ♥
as much as I missed not being with my own mommy
it was fun to just hang out and make homemade bbq pizzas!

Random: I think I might have wanted to be a ballerina at some-point

in my life.. because whenever I pose I end up looking

like one (last shot ^). I think its pretty silly.

Do any of you take anything special when 

you feel a cold coming on??

I usually load up on the vitamin C.. but I'm willing to try

anything at this point. 

navy is the new black

Does anyone watch 'All on the Line' on Sundance?

It's Joe Zee's show where he helps out struggling designers.

Well this week the designer came up with a Navy dress,

"the new little black dress".

I loved the idea, and since I wear black pretty much every thursday..

it was time to adventure onto a new color.

It does feel nice to dress more "spring like" now ♥

This past week has been very stressful..

Mid-terms, All-nighters, tons of coffee, lots of eating on the go..

So needless to say I apologize for not posting for the past week!!

These are my "grown-up" pigtails, you like? 

I feel the need to get crafty with my hair lately because it is 

in pretty bad shape (for me), I usually get it done at home

but I haven't been home since December.

I needed to share this AMAZING salad with you all!

It is a mixed berry salad with pecans and feta, with a vinaigrette dressing.

SO YUMMYYYY!

If you are ever in Irvine you must go to Mustard and try.
