extremely addicting

Instagram
I mentioned before that I had downloaded Instagram for my Iphone this past week
for my vacation trip home - Well as many now know from having it yourselves
It is extremely addicting!!
For some reason, it has a way of making all of your quick-phone-shots look amazing.
You get to choose from about 12 finishing effects, and each one
just tops off the shot in the most perfect way.. it's almost hard to decide which one.

Here are some of my favorites from the past weekend:

Coronas & lime

OPI - Hot & Spicy

Our house in the Santa Cruz mountains

2nd day by the pool

tons of watermelon

Hot, hot, hot weather

Smalls keepin' cool

Foster City Fireworks to end the night

If you have an Iphone, or a smartphone that allows you to download apps,
I highly recommend checking this one out.
Super user friendly!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend

The 405/101/85/280/92

We finally made it!
We managed to get on the road by 6:00am with Starbucks & donuts in hand.
Stopped Once in SLO for gas/ potty break, and arrived at 1:00!
Not Bad for taking 101 the whole way.

So I joined the club and downloaded Instagram,
I'm a little obsessed with it now, clearly..

My phone died in Gilroy so the cherry stand was the last picture.
I have some that I took today around town & on our little adventure
into the city this evening - if you're interested come follow me on

It feels so good to be home!

Happy Tuesday

Ps. Thank You to all of you
for your sweet comments yesterday ♥
I enjoy receiving feedback.

Also, I just made a twitter.
Do any of you have one?! Of course you probably do..
I held out for quite some time because I thought
it was just a phase, but after hearing Brad and Joe Zee
referring to them throughout their presentations
I knew it would be a useful tool to look into!

I'd love to follow any of you!
Here is mine: LLovestoshare
Bare with me as I learn out to use it tho..
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Update: So Tuesday evening a group and myself from school
went and heard Brad Goreski speak at our sister school in LA.
He was just as amazing in person as he is on the Rachel Zoe Project!
They were actually filming the whole thing for his upcoming show
It's a Brad Brad World on Brave, so be on the look out!!
His energy about being a stylist and being in the fashion industry was
CONTAGIOUS.
He is extremely friendly and willing to offer help in any way to
up-in-comers because people helped him along the way.
His story of how he started out was very inspiring
and just proved to us that we can get anywhere if we are persistent!
*I mean he wanted to be a Vogue intern so bad that he
guessed Anna Wintour's email a million times
and actually found out after he got the position that he got it right once..
That is drive!
We couldn't take pictures during the filming but lots of us
were able to snap a few at the end.
Here is a great picture of my friends and Brad, isn't he adorable!!

from Trader Joe's.
Frozen Chocolate covered Banana bites ♥
Amazingggg.

And lastly
m is for ... MONSTER!

(not really) but yesterday he decided to eat up
his blue toy bone and leave me little "surprise" piles
to clean up when I got home.. Of course I was more worried
about his poor belly than anything but still..
No More Blue Bone, sorry Smalls.

Happy Monday!
hope you are having prettier spring weather than we are today..
It was 80's all weekend (and I have the sunburn to prove it)
and now today is 65 and gloomy? What's that about?

Snow + Paris = ♥

I'm a sucker for a "Winter-Wonderland"
and when I saw this headline,

'Heavy snow in Paris'

my heart jumped!

How magical would it be to in Paris
for the Holidays and it be covered
 in Snow ♥

(images via yahoo)

Definitely something to add to my bucket list.

Anyone going to the snow soon??
I haven't been in over a year.. and my poor
snowboard has aged quite a bit!!

Maybe I'll have to save up for a
new board, jacket, & boots.

(Burton snowboarding gear)

It would be nice it visit Tahoe again,
or try some Southern California snow.

Cameras, cameras.. Any suggestions?

(made by me)

So I'm on the hunt for a good quality Camera.
I had a nice Canon right after high school,
but it died due to a party... Rip
I replaced it with a cheaper fix, a Kodak camera.
IT is the WORST!
horrible in low light, consistently grainy, poor focus...
I could go on..
I am trying to find an "investment piece".
A camera that is not going to let me down
and will last me, hopefully, the next 5 years+

Any suggestions?!?
or experience with awful cameras
(so I know what to avoid)
I would love to hear your thoughts ♥

xoxo Lauren

P.s. Thank you to everyone who helped me out
with my Fur survey!!!!!! You guys are the BEST.

A girl can dream...

When I lived at home I had great closets!
But now, living out of apts for the past 4 years,
I've had to scale wayyy down on space
 for my clothes, and things.

I would love to have an organized area
all to myself
and be able to have a place for everything..

a Carrie Bradshaw closet would be ideal lol
(all images are linked back to where I got them, just click)

As I finish up my mound of laundry today..
I will be daydreaming of the following..
(hopefully one day i'll be able to design my own)

If you're in OC, I hope you are enjoying
this gloomy weather as much as I am!

Have a great weekend xoxo
