who isn't afraid of mixing medias.

Belinda Chen does an absolutely beautiful job at it.

The textures and colors just pop ♥

I don't know if you have picked up on the trend but I have been

a day behind with most of my posts this week lol

I'mmmm the worstttttttt

I do apologize, hope you can forgive me!

It has been a long hectic week and it's only going to get

a little moreeeee crazy because I am approaching FINALS

and with that comes 4 Final projects (group and by myself),

Final papers, and Final exams.. gives you a lil headache.. I KNOW!

Anyway, enough about my issues,

Since starting my F.i. class at school I have more appreciation than ever

 for the details that Illustrators put into their work!

Hair is not easy lol nor is bead work on garments.

Here is an artist I stumbled upon, Myltan.

I think I have just become really drawn to pencil/ink work..

Weekly Gratitude

{ number 5 }

• Thank you to my Aunt Suzy for inviting me to spend the day with some of my family that I haven't seen in a couple years. My younger twin cousins were in Annie at their middle school. They did an amazing job, and it was so cute to watch. (this picture is the amazing view from my aunt's dinning room in Laguna)
• Thank you to my boyfriend's mom for treating us to dinner and a play. It means a lot to me to spend time with family (mine or my bf's). 
• Thank you to my mommy for sending my Valentine's Day care package ♥ she is too cute, and has the biggest heart.
• Thank you to my Internship for introducing me to our West Coast Sales Reps, who let me help them out this past week in getting ready for Magic, and invited me to help with LA Mart in March. I am extremely excited, and couldn't be more thankful for the opportunities that are coming my way.
• Thank you to the woman today that asked if I was in a movie.. lol that made my day.
• Thank you to my Fashion Illustration teacher for the positive feedback on my mid-term project, as well as the encouraging words about me pursuing on to advance Fashion Illustration next quarter.
• Thank you to all of you!! for following my blog and leaving sweet, supportive comments. I love reading them and following back to your blogs, they are all so great. I love the whole blogging network that I have discovered, I find myself so inspired by all of you!
• and of course Thank you to my Smalls for melting my heart everyday when I get home. He has a special "Shake-your-butts" dance he does lol it kills me every time.

a little side story: If you haven't been following,

I am currently an intern at BB Dakota (& love it!).

Well yesterday was a little bit of an intern's dream!

well at least for me..

I got to help transport our lines and set-up a pop-shop

on La Brea. It was such a great experience!!

And then we all went to lunch at Fred Segal Cafe!

Which was absolutely delicious ♥

I was not excepting yesterday's adventure and feel so 

blessed to have been able to be a part of it.

I love her unique style 

and the detailing put into each one.

I love color, but there is just something about a

beautiful black and grey scale drawing that

just seems so lovely to me.
