Favorites ♥

Favorite Products
{ simple basics }

The following are some of my favorite products that I use daily
and usually don't feel complete without.

- I use Kenra hair spray, and swear by it!!
I hate hairspray that leaves your hair hard and crunchy,
it is flexible with a great hold.

- Ojon Rub-Out Dry Cleanser (dry shampoo).
Does not leave a powdery feeling or smell.
Love it.

- Chance by Chanel (pink)
This is my favorite perfume, clearly I am all out :(

- Lashblastvolume by Covergirl
very black - waterproof
I have tried many mascaras and this one gives me the fullest
lashes. Don't be scared by the huge brush.

- MAC moisturecover NW20
I have been getting the worst dark circles under my eyes lately
and this concealer takes care of them!

- Just recently I wanted a nude lipstick because I really don't
wear anything on my lips so the counter lady suggested these two
MAC Lip stick - Hue A90
MAC Lip stick - Myth AC0
On me Hue has a little more pink to it
and Myth is a little more of a mocha color
Both are really creamy and feminine

Side-note: That is my new Steve Madden Bag
found it at Marshals, $30
And Perfect for SPRING!

which one is your favorite?

a penny for your thoughts

Finally, here they are.
I told you all that I would share my Final Illustrations
from last quarter once I got them back..

My color scheme was deep reds, denim blue,
black, and tribal prints.
I wanted to create an easy-going collection for Fall 2013.

This one is my favorite, I didn't mean for her
to look Barbie like, But I Love It.

I love the poncho with the print I created on this one.
Her feet are a little too small for proportion.. something to work on.

On this dress I think my rendering turned out pretty well.
Just don't asked me what happened to her head.. no sure how it grew on top.

This was my first Illustration of the group.
I follow Rumi (at Fashion Toast) daily and love her style.
Her tribal shorts are what really inspired my thought process.

I definitely have a long way to go in developing my doodles,
but I did surprise myself a little
in what I was capable of doing so far ( in 11 weeks ).

Thank you for reading
and letting me share with you.

Side-note: Last evening I was able to attend
( with two of my friends from my school )
an event at Otis College of Art and Design in LA
to hear Joe Zee (Creative Director of Elle Magazine)
 and Shipley & Halmos speak.

It was a great experience hearing all of them share
their success stories and advice for us young "up&comers".

I didn't realize Joe Zee has a new show on Sundance (All on the line / Tues. @ 10pm),
so of course the first thing I did was DVR it when I got home.
And I have been wanting to add The Ellements of Personal Style
to my book collection for awhile now.. Once I find my $$ tree..

The whole evening was also a reminder that
I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to,
I just have to want it, and there is nothing I want more than
following my dreams

I went Home ♥
for spring break and did the most sight-seeing
I have ever done around the peninsula (sf-bay area).
My boyfriend and I decide that we had to do something each day
we were there and take LOTS of pictures,
which I never got around to sharing.. So 12 months later..
Here are some of my favorites!

Day 1: We went to the Winchester Mystery House
(San Jose, Ca)
We had so much fun on the house tour!
I loved all the details that the "crazy" owner Sarah Winchester
put into her growing house - if you have any interest in
old Tiffany glass and "ghosts" you should check this place out.

Day 2: We went to the San Francisco Zoo
I hadn't been there since grade school but I think
I appreciated it now more than ever.. especially since I have my own
lil guy (Smalls) so I just have a super soft spot for all animals.

This little guy stole my heart that day ♥ how cute is he?

Day 3: We headed to the Legion of Honor to see the Cartier exhibit
I had never been there before.. THE View was breathtaking!
I had also never seen the GGBridge from that side (the entrance side).
Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the AMAZING jewels
but if the exhibit is traveling in your area I highly recommend
that you visit.

I cannot wait to journey home again.
I took it for granted when growing up..

Have you visited Northern California??
If so, Do you have a favorite sight-seeing destination?

Some Spring inspiration/ Oscar picks

Spring 2011 Inspiration
{ Shopbop picks & We♥it mood boards }

I Love to Window Shop (online)!

Even though I enjoy my rain, I am getting
excited for upcoming spring trends..
Here are some of my favorite looks and items
that I would love to magically appear
in my closet.

I really want a maxi dress, some cute floral skirts, a crop denim jacket,
some bright colored jewelry (coral is in!), and nude sandals.

What trends are you looking forward to??
Where do you like to window shop?

Happy Monday ♥

Magic /1st Vegas Trip pictures

Finalllllllllyyy,
here are some of the pictures from my trip last week.

Thank you for waiting so patiently ♥

So I attended the last day of MAGIC in Las Vegas.
If you have no idea what magic is.. to sum it up
it is a trade show for Venders, like Free People and BB Dakota,
to set up booths to show case the next seasons lines
for Buyers to place orders.

We were not allowed to take pictures of the merchandise
or the booths but trust me it was AMAZING.
It was like Disneyland for me.
All the details that were put into the displays
were breath taking.
We're talking handmade paper rosettes,
 beautifully dressed antique dress forms,
vintage trunks, I could go on...

Basically some of the booths looked like mini Anthropologies!
Heaven, I know

- You collect lots of bags from venders
 and handouts about their lines.

- A free shuttle will pick you up and take you to and from
the Las Vegas Convention Center and Mandalay Bay Center

- This was the group of students from my school that went,
my P.I.C. throughout the trip was my friend Nicole.

- At night I had my first casino experience!
I won $100.00 on the Wheel of Fortune slot!

- We also ate at Diablo's in the Monte Carlo
where I got a yummy Mojito and yummy Nachos.

- The group of girls that I stayed with were the best.
All were willing to make sure my 1st Vegas trip was a good one,
filled with 'the Vegas Norms'
walking the strip, gambling, a dance club, and staying up real late!

I will definitely be attending MAGIC again!
Hopefully next time earlier in the week, and with maybe more
access to seeing the booths and attending industry events.

If you have an questions please don't hesitate to ask!!
