little things

little things for summer
Just a few new items I have added
to my tiny accessories collection.

If you don't have a Free People boutique by you
I highly suggest that you check out their accessories online!

Thankfully, I happen to have one close at South Coast Plaza
and went a bit crazy when I saw the gold bangles, sunnies, small shoulder bag,
and the two rings up top.

The gem ring I picked up at Nordy's (a perfect statement piece),
and the red charm bracelet is from H&M.

I also tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects polish strips
in Glitz Blitz. Totally fun and easy to use, I was also
happy that they made my baby nails look glam.

Happy 1st-day-of-summer Tuesday
Anyone else excited for Pretty Little Liars tonight?
I'm completely hooked and they always are dressed so cute!

whirlwind

Boy-OH-boy it has been
a whirlwind of a week

Crazy. Exciting. Stressful. & Humbling. best describes it.

I managed to make homemade Fudge (for the first time ever)
for a bake sale we held at school.

It turned out delicious, and was pretty easy to make.

I completed my Illustration homework that I turned in on Wednesday.

We had to choose 3 things that inspired us and design 3 looks for each.
(also try drawing men and kids)
My three inspirations were the Starbuck's logo, Lavender,
& the markings on a deer.

We also had to design three shoes and enter them into
the Vince Camuto Shoe Design contest
((which I posted all about, and needing everyone's help))

WELL, two of my designs made the Top 25!!
So THANK YOU everyone for your support and "likes" ♥
Now we just have to wait and see who's design they will pick.... fingers crossed!

I was so humbled to see the response that I got from Friends & Family
on Facebook, AND even from you guys!

A lot of the time (especially living so far away from home)
I feel kind of alone - just a little -
and struggled not having my core group of friends.
So to witness everyone willing to help me out in my time of need,
I knew that even though I don't see them often they are still there for me.
You're never alone ♥

*Like I mentioned, I will be doing a giveaway in celebration
of the contest and making it that far.
Stay posted today for more details!!

Enjoy your Friday xoxo

On to the next..

Spring Quarter has started!
I officially started my 7th quarter yesterday..
it kind of hit me that I am seriously wrapping up school here
in the next 12 months (4 more quarters to be exact).
If you didn't know, my school is year-round
so I can receive my degree faster - Which is great!
But it has gone by veryyyyy quickly.
It has really started to make me anxious about what
my next step after my portfolio show & graduation will be.
I hope I will be able to share with all of you
whatever will come my way ♥

Anyway, because I have been getting ready to get back
in the swing of homework and projects I haven't
been able to take many pictures, but I do have some
random things to share...

1. I had told you guys I wanted to create some of my own art
to hang around my apt, well here is my first piece.

Its pretty simple, but I love the gold texture.
I still have another 11in. x 14in. canvas & a 30in. x 40in. canvas
to work with, so I hope to challenge myself more with those..
this was my safe piece.

2. I have joined an amazing website that I think is a great
resource to share... Pinterest!
I had heard about it from Caroline's blog, and she was very kind to
invite me. It is a godsent if you are tried of having soooo many
pictures of inspiration taking up space on your computer.
I highly recommend check it out : )

And lastly

3. I have seen on a few blogs 'the fried egg & avocado sandwich'.
I knew I needed to try!
I love avocado, and egg sandwiches, and never thought to
put the two together ♥

Here is Taylor's version from Sterlingstyle

And Alicia's version from Cheetah is the New Black

Here was my attempt:

Not nearly as pretty as theirs but trust me it was delicious!!
I'm glad I have another opinion for lonely dinner nights
when the Boyfriend is off at school.
(( My mom would be so proud ♥ ))

Enjoy your Tuesday

keeping it..

Short & Sweet
Yesterday was hot, if you were anywhere in California
you knowww this..
So I decided that my newly found maxi dress
 needed to make its debut.

It is grey and I kinda feel like an ancient grecian in it
aka a fancy toga..
I was also excited to wear my feather headband
that my step-cousin made me awhile back.

Happy April ♥
I can't believe March is over.. crazy
Well welcome Spring & Baseball season!

And Happy Birthday to all the April Babies

((I quickly drew this for you))

Wanted Wednesday: Inspiring Looks

Wanted Wednesday
{ Inspiring Looks }

I had a very inspiring morning today ♥
I'll share why further down, but when I was doing my
weekly "window shopping" I couldn't help but
be drawn to Free People site and Shopbop's lookbook.
Their stylists are great at what they do!!
I just want to slip on these exact outfits and be these girls.

And of course you can never have enough nail polish!

So recently the visual team that I am on at school
was asked to develop a concept and create a
window display at Seed Peoples Market at The Camp in Costa Mesa.
We went this morning to meet with their director of marketing
and get a tour of the space that we will be working in.
I had never been there before! It was beautiful!!
It was Anthropologie meets a small REI.
Their store displays were AMAZING!
So unique and lovely ♥
Here are some pictures I found online,
I will have to go back and SHOP, then share again lol.

This is only a forth of the store, if you are local you should
go check them out!

So I have a busy weekend ahead of me
but I'll be back with a couple more posts.
(( and I'm still missing my weekly gratitude ))

Thank you for stopping by ♥

Friday: F.i.

Friday Fashion Illustration
{ Myltan }

Since starting my F.i. class at school I have more appreciation than ever
for the details that Illustrators put into their work!
Hair is not easy lol nor is bead work on garments.

Here is an artist I stumbled upon, Myltan.
I think I have just become really drawn to pencil/ink work..
if you haven't picked up on the trend ♥

Starting Construction: New Banner

So I have started the "construction" around here.

I created a new banner last night..
I wanted to include all my own personal pictures
that are all little pieces of me..
Because DUH my blog title states how much
 'I love to share' lol

My last banner was my own hands that I
put into Illustrator and turned into a vector..
Blah, blah, blah - nerd computer stuff

Anyways I thought it would be fun
to personally share what each picture is, and why.

Down here in SoCal most freeways have stone pictures on the walls,
to me its a symbol of the many drives I have made between my two homes,
as well as all the driving that is just done around here!

this is my little guy! This picture to me symbolizes how precious life is ♥
Smalls and I have been through a lot - in a three month span last year
he almost died on me 3 times. He means the world to me, and I am his protector.

I took this picture outside my house in the Bay Area. I have always been
in love with palm trees, and they are pretty much the only tree
I can draw with detail and have it look real lol
I also enjoy this picture because it was sunset, so all that yellow is real - No Ps.

This is my first cocktail ring that I bought from a consignment shop.
It symbolizes to me my ability to find beauty in old/used,
as well as my thrifty shopping skills - $15.

OH look who it is! Here is his formal introduction!
Name: Smalls / Birthday: March 12th, 2008 / Hometown: La Mirada
Favorite toy: Blue Rubber Bone / Dislikes: Wearing Clothes, Bugs, Shots, and getting nails cut
Fun Fact: He only drinks water out of a cup lol seriously

Laguna Beach is Beautiful - this is my symbol for me
living the "OC" life lol so corny I know

This is the picture I used for my first banner..
Its symbolic in itself

I'm a Fashion Marketing and Management Major.
I took this outside the California Marketing Center on one of our field trips.
This day was the moment I realized I really am in the right major/industry
for me! I have found my passion and can't wait to see where it takes me.

I love my OPI nail polish, and I'm pretty addicted to my make-up as well.
I consider both a form of art - a lot of time and patients go into them..
at least for me lol

I am located a good 30 to 40 minutes south from Hollywood,
But to me the whole area symbolizes *Dreams, for me that will be clothes!

I love Cup Cakes! And most desserts. It is my mission to find
the BEST Cup Cakes and Tiramisu ♥
I could eat desserts for every meal and I think they are just adorable.

I am also a recovering addict of Starbucks lol
My favorite drink is an iced Upside-down Carmel macchiato,
w/ non-fat milk & extra carmel.. And Hot Chocolate no whip
There is nothing better than meeting up with friends to get coffee.

One of my best friends took this beautiful picture of me a couple of
summers ago - seeing her pictures and her passion for them
really inspired me to find a hobby/passion for something..
and here it is, my blog.

And lastly, the Golden Gate Bridge. I took this picture last
winter break when I was home. This picture grounds me, I know where I came from
and wouldn't change it for the world. I love my home and know that
no matter what happens in life it will always be there for me

Wow. sorry for the super long post!
but I had fun doing it and hope
you enjoyed learning a little more about me.

Enjoy your weekend
xoxo
